Enjoy the newest development on Apple Technology as they offer you exciting features and improvements to be world’s most advanced mobile operating system. We’ll have a sneak preview on iOS 12’s Performance, new FaceTime Features, Memoji and Animoji, Camera Effects, Augmented Reality, as well as the smaller features like Screen Time, Notifications, Photo Sharing and Photo Search, Siri Shortcuts and so much more. Let’s take a look at them ONE by ONE.
iOS 12 and its Performance. iOS updates are not just about display improvements. Now, the iOS 12 focus on performance, speeding up all the things that you do, even just to simple launch the camera, type texts on your keyboard, all of this can happen faster than before. It can be 70% faster swipe to camera, 50% faster keyboard display, and up to 2x faster on app launch on heavy workload. Maybe you feel a little but sad because you do not own the latest iPhones. But, hey!!! These enhancements and improvements on performance are compatible to devices starting from iPhone 5s and iPad Air. So, even iPhone 5s users can enjoy the improvements on performance.
FaceTime with 32 people at Once. Group chats, and calls are really very convenient. You have the chance to talk and chat with several people all at once and be updated with their current events in their life. But, seeing them online is better. However, with the previous FaceTime, the number of people is only limited. Thanks to iOS 12!!! We can now enjoy Group FaceTime, having up to 32 participants.
Memoji and Animoji. With iOS 12, you can now create a Memoji that matches your personality and mood, allowing you to create as many alter egos that you want. So exciting!!! Isn’t it? And with Animoji, you can be your favorite animal. Be expressive as you use these Memoji and Animoji in your messages and FaceTime. But the sad thing is, this feature is only supported or iPhone X devices.
Camera Effects, Photo Sharing and Photo Search. Liven up the conversation with and add personality in your Messages and FaceTime right from the in-app camera. Share photos and videos with Animoji, filters, fun stickers, animated texts and the latest Memoji. Aside from the camera effects, photo sharing and photo search is also made convenient and easy. The new FOR YOU tab shows you great images and best photos from your photo library. What’s great about this is that it intelligently suggest for you to share the photo to the person included in the photo. And if he or she uses iOS 12, they’ll be prompted to share photos from the event with you as well. And for a more convenient photo search, a search suggestion will be very helpful to help you find the exact photo that you are looking for. Even before you start typing the keywords for the photo that you are looking for, you’ll be able to see the recent activities, photos and videos taken. And refining them with keyword will be helpful.
Augmented Reality. Be more and creative and imaginative and turn your thoughts into reality. With the help of ARKit 2, creating a more powerful augmented reality experience was made possible. Augmented Reality objects can now be sent directly in Mails and Messages and with the help of the new iOS app called Measure, you can now measure objects just by pointing at them.
Screen Time. Be more aware with how you and your kids use your device. Well, sometimes, when we are too entertained checking our social media accounts, or watching videos on YouTube, we lose track of the time of our usage. But with Screen Time, we will have a better understanding of the time that we and even the kids spend on using the device. So you can make the most on how you and the kids can possibly use your iPhones or iPads.
Siri Shortcuts. Streamline the things you do often with shortcuts. Siri can now intelligently pair your daily routines with some third-party apps, allowing you to have convenient shortcuts especially when you need them. Shortcuts can also be run using your voice or a new Shortcut apps
Privacy. iOS protects your privacy even the websites don’t. With iOS 12, Safari now prevents Share Buttons and comment widgets on web pages from tracking you especially without your permission. And with iOS 12, you can now get away with those ads from different advertisers. Safari can now prevent advertisers from collecting device information, preventing the advertisers from sending or retargeting you ads from across the globe.
iOS 12 has really a lot of things to offer, big and small, all of these help to make our iPhones and iPads better and convenient. Well, before I forgot, the enhancements are not just those things which I have mentioned. Along with the improvement of its performance, privacy, camera and other new apps, there is also a new Apple book, a Redesigned Stock app, Redesigned navigation of Apple news, Voice Memos are now available to iPad, Automatic and Security code Autofill to make for Safari and Messages, Third-Party navigation apps in CarPlay, Contactless ID student ID cards and lastly, more Battery Information.
